Crystal structure of 5-chloro-2-(3-fluoro-phen-yl)-3-methyl-sulfinyl-1-benzo-furan.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C15H10ClFO2S, the dihedral angle between the plane of the benzo-furan ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.013 (1) Å] and that of the 3-fluoro-phenyl ring [r.m.s. deviation = 0.005 (1) Å] is 31.36 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by two different pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers.
