Crystal structure of 3-(4-bromo-phenyl-sulfon-yl)-2,5,6-trimethyl-1-benzo-furan.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C17H15BrO3S, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzo-furan ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.015 (2) Å] and the 4-bromo-phenyl ring is 89.29 (6)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a chain along the b-axis direction by C-H⋯π hydrogen bonds and C-Br⋯π [3.626 (1) Å] inter-actions.
