Crystal structure of bromido-nitro-syl-bis(tri-phenyl-phosphane-κP)nickel(II).

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [NiBr(NO){P(C6H5)3}2], comprises two independent mol-ecules each with a similar configuration. The Ni(II) cation is coordinated by one bromide anion, one nitrosyl anion and two tri-phenyl-phosphane mol-ecules in a distorted BrNP2 tetra-hedral coordination geometry. The coordination of the nitrosyl group is non-linear, the Ni-N-O angles being 150.2 (5) and 151.2 (5)° in the two independent mol-ecules. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds and weak C-H⋯π inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:In the title complex, [PdBr(C(4)H(3)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the geometry around the Pd(II) atom is distorted square-planar with the Pd(II) atom displaced by 0.0150 (5) Å from the least-squares BrP(2)C plane. Two PPh(3) ligands are in trans positions [P-Pd-P = 176.743 (17)°], while the pyrimidinyl ligand and Br atom are trans to one another [C-Pd-Br = 176.56 (5)°]. Structural parameters from NMR, IR and mass spectra are in agreement with the crystal structure of the title compound.

The two Ph(3)P ligands are in trans positions, defining a P-Pd-P angle of 171.78 (5)°, while the pyrimidinyl and bromide ligands are trans to each other [C-Pd-Br = 174.63 (14)°].

Project description:The well known title compound, trans-[Mo(C18H15P)2(CO)4], has not been studied previously by X-ray crystallography, unlike its cis isomer. The complex possesses crystallographically imposed inversion symmetry, with the Mo atom residing on an inversion centre (1a Wyckoff position). The two tri-phenyl-phosphane groups are arranged in a staggered orientation. Each of the phenyl groups exhibits significantly different Mo-P-C-C torsion angles ranging from 2.6 (2) to 179.4 (1)°, most likely due to steric inter-actions based upon their positions relative to the carbonyl ligands.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ru(CH3OCS2)2(C18H15P)2], the Ru(II) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral coordination by two xanthate anions (CH3OCS2) and two tri-phenyl-phosphane (PPh3) ligands. Both bidentate xanthate ligands coordinate the Ru(II) atom with two slightly different Ru-S bond lengths but with virtually equal bite angles [71.57 (4) and 71.58 (3)°]. The packing of the complexes is assured by C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Cu2I2(C2H6OS)2(C18H15P)2], represents the first example of a CuI complex ligated by an O-bound dimethyl sulfoxide ligand. In the crystal, the two tetrahedrally coordinated Cu(I) atoms are bridged by two μ2-iodido ligands in an almost symmetrical rhomboid geometry. The loose Cu⋯Cu contact of 2.9874 (8) Å is longer than the sum of the van der Waals radii of two Cu atoms (2.8 Å), excluding a significant cupriophilic inter-action in the actual dimer. C-H⋯O and C-H⋯I hydrogen bonding interactions as well as C-H⋯π(aryl) interactions stabilize the three-dimensional supramolecular network.

Project description:The title solvated complex, [Ru(η(5)-C5H5)(N3){P(C6H5)3}2]·0.5CH2Cl2, displays a typical piano-stool geometry about the Ru(II) atom. The bond lengths and angles of the cyclo-penta-dienyl and phosphane ligands are very similar to that of the unsolvated complex [Taqui Khan et al. (1994 ▶). Acta Cryst. C50, 502-504]. The azide anion displays similar N-N distances of 1.173 (3) and 1.156 (3) Å and has an N-N-Ru angle of 119.20 (15)°, indicating a greater contribution of the canonical form Ru-N=N((+))=N((-)) for the bonding situation. An intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-action between one ortho H atom of a phosphane ligand and the N atom coordinating to the metal is observed. A similar inter-molecular inter-action is observed between a meta H atom of a phosphane ligand and the terminal azide N atom of a neighbouring complex. Finally, two C-H⋯N inter-actions exists between the H atoms of the di-chloro-methane solvent mol-ecule and the terminal N atom of two azide anions. The solvent mol-ecule is located about a twofold rotation axis and shows disorder of the Cl atoms with an occupancy ratio of 0.62 (3):0.38 (3).

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Ag(C18H15P)4]2[Ag(C6H6NO6)(C18H15P)], exhibits trigonal (P-3) symmetry, with a C 3 axis through all three complex ions, resulting in an asymmetric unit that contains one third of the atoms present in the formula unit. The formula unit thus contains two of the cations, one anion and disordered mol-ecules of methanol as the packing solvent. Attempts to refine the solvent model were unsuccessful, indicating uninter-pretable disorder. Thus, the SQUEEZE procedure in PLATON [Spek (2015 ▸). Acta Cryst. C71, 9-18] was applied, accounting for 670 electrons per unit cell, representing approximately 18 mol-ecules of methanol in the formula unit. The stated crystal data for M r, μ etc do not take these into account.

The methanol solvent mol-ecule is disordered about an inversion centre with an occupancy of 0.25 for each molecule. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the complex mol-ecules generate chain frameworks parallel to [010].

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [CuCl(CH5N3S)(C18H15P)2]·0.48H2O, the Cu(I) ion is in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry formed by two P atoms from two tri-phenyl-phosphane ligands, one S atom from a thio-semicarbazide ligand and one chloride anion. An intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond [graph-set motif S(5)] stabilizes the thio-semicarbazide ligand in its anti conformation, and an intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond between the hydrazine N-H group and the chloride anion influences the arrangement and orientation of the ligands around the metal center. A weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is also present. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules are connected through N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds originating from the amide -NH2 group, and through O-H⋯S and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds involving the solvent water mol-ecule. Both the direct N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds as well as the bridging hydrogen bonds mediated by the water mol-ecule connect the complex mol-ecules into zigzag chains that propagate along [010]. The solvent water mol-ecule is partially occupied, with a refined occupancy of 0.479 (7).

Project description:The title compound, [Pd2Cl2(C6H5S)2(C18H15P)2]·2CHCl3, contains a centrosymmetric dinuclear palladium complex with the Pd(II) cation in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment. The Pd(II) cations are bridged by the S atoms of two benzene-thiol-ate ligands with different Pd-S distances [2.2970 (11) and 2.3676 (11) Å]. The coordination of the metal atom is completed by a chloride anion [2.3383 (11) Å] and a tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand [2.2787 (11) Å]. Weak C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are present between complex mol-ecules and the CHCl3 solvent mol-ecule. The latter is disordered over two positions in a 0.792 (8):0.208 (8) ratio. The crystal under investigation was found to be twinned by nonmerohedry, with a fraction of 73.4 (1)% for the major twin component.
