Crystal structure of (±)-1-({[4-(all-yloxy)phen-yl]sulfan-yl}meth-yl)-2-(di-phenyl-thio-phosphor-yl)ferrocene.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Fe(C5H5)(C27H24OPS2)], is built up from a ferrocene moiety substituted in the 1- and 2-positions by {[4-(all-yloxy)phen-yl]sulfan-yl}methyl and di-phenyl-thio-phosphoryl groups, respectively. The two S atoms lie on opposite sides of the cyclo-penta-dienyl ring plane to which they are attached. In the crystal, C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a ribbon running parallel to the (-110) plane. C-H⋯π inter-actions link the ribbons to form a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C17H14PS)2], is a second monoclinic polymorph (P21/c, with Z' = 1) of the previously reported monoclinic (C2/c, with Z' = 1/2) form [Fang et al. (1995 ▸). Polyhedron, 14, 2403-2409]. In the new form, the S atoms lie to the same side of the mol-ecule with the pseudo S-P⋯P-S torsion angle being -53.09 (3)°. By contrast to this almost syn disposition, in the C2/c polymorph, the Fe atom lies on a centre of inversion so that the S atoms are strictly anti, with a pseudo-S-P⋯P-S torsion angle of 180°. The significant difference in mol-ecular conformation between the two forms does not result in major perturbations in the P=S bond lengths nor in the distorted tetra-hedral geometries about the P atoms. The crystal packing of the new monoclinic polymorph features weak Cp-C-H⋯π(phen-yl) inter-actions consolidating linear supra-molecular chains along the a axis. These pack with no directional inter-actions between them.

Project description:The title compound, [Li2(C25H23BN4OP)2], features a centrosymmetric dimeric complex. The four-memberered Li2O2 ring is exactly planar due to symmetry. The Li atom is four-coordinated by two O atoms and by two N atoms of two different pyrazole rings. The dihedral angle between two pyrazole rings bonded to the same B atom is 45.66 (9)°. The B-N-N-Li-N-N metalla ring adopts a boat conformation. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals inter-actions only.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(20)H(24)N(2)S(2), the central CN(2)S(2) atoms are planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0205 Å) but both benzene rings are twisted out of this plane forming dihedral angles of 23.03 (6) and 84.75 (4)° (tol-yl); the n-butyl group occupies a position normal to the plane [N-C-C-C torsion angle = -84.33 (16)°]. The conformation of the imine bond [1.2888 (18) Å] is E. The syn arrangement of the thione S and amino H atoms enables the formation of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds between centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules. These lead to eight-membered {⋯HNC=S}(2) synthons which are further stabilized by proximate C-H⋯S interactions. The resulting dimeric aggregates are connected into a supra-molecular chain along the c axis by C-H⋯π(tol-yl) inter-actions.

The 1,3,4-oxa-diazole ring is almost co-planar with the attached 2-thienyl ring [dihedral angles of 5.34?(19) and 4.8?(5)° for the major and minor components, respectively]. The relative disposition of the thione- and ring-S atoms is anti for the major orientation of the 2-thienyl residue. Overall, the shape of the mol-ecule approximates the letter V. Project description:The title compounds, C20H16ClO2P, (I), and C18H21O2P, (II), were synthesized via an Arbuzov reaction between an α-bromo-ketone and isopropoxydi-phenyl-phosphane. In the crystals of both compounds, mol-ecules are linked via bifurcated C-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [100] for (I) and along [010] for (II). The chains are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, leading to the formation of sheets lying parallel to (010) for (I) and (001) for (II). The absolute structure of compound (II) was determined by resonant scattering [Flack parameter = 0.088 (14)].

Project description:In the title compound, C25H26N2OS, the diethyl-substituted benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 67.38 (9) and 55.32 (9)° with the terminal benzene rings. The mol-ecule adopts a trans-cis conformation with respect to the orientations of the di-phenyl-methane and 1,3-di-ethyl-benzene groups with respect to the S atom across the C-N bonds. This conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into inversion dimers, forming R 2 (2)(6) loops. The dimer linkage is reinforced by a pair of C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, which generate R 2 (2)(8) loops. Weak C-H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid seperation = 3.8821 (10) Å] inter-actions also occur in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C23H22N2OS, the di-phenyl-acetyl and ethyl-benzene groups adopt a trans-cis conformation, respectively, with respect to the S atom across the (S=)C-N bonds. This conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond and a weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bond. The ethyl-substituted benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 87.53 (15) and 73.94 (15)° with the phenyl rings. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into chains along [100]. Project description:In the title β-thio-carbonyl compound, C16H16O3S, the adjacent meth-oxy and carbonyl O atoms are synperiplanar [the O-C-C-O torsion angle is 19.8 (4)°] and are separated by 2.582 (3) Å. The dihedral angle between the rings is 40.11 (16)°, and the meth-oxy group is coplanar with the benzene ring to which it is connected [the C-C-O-C torsion angle is 179.1 (3)°]. The most notable feature of the crystal packing is the formation of methine and methyl C-H⋯O(carbon-yl) inter-actions that lead to a supra-molecular chain with a zigzag topology along the c axis. Chains pack with no specific inter-molecular inter-actions between them.
