Complete Genome Sequence of a ?-Hexachlorocyclohexane-Degrading Bacterium, Sphingobium sp. Strain MI1205.


ABSTRACT: Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a ?-hexachlorocyclohexane (?-HCH)-degrading bacterium,Sphingobiumsp. strain MI1205. The genome of MI1205 consists of two chromosomes and four plasmids with sizes of 33 to 292 kb. All thelingenes for ?-HCH metabolism are dispersed on the four plasmids.
