Ether lipid deficiency does not cause neutropenia or leukopenia in mice and men.

ABSTRACT: In this Letter, Dorninger et al. show that the deficiency in ether lipid biosynthesis alone is not sufficient to induce neutropenia or leukopenia, as has been suggested by a previous report using an inducible knockout mouse model of ether lipid deficiency.
