Crystal structure of bis-{μ2-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-[(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth-yl]-1,2,4-triazolato}bis-[aqua-nitrato-copper(II)] dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: The structure of the dinuclear title complex, [Cu2(C10H8N7)2(NO3)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, consists of centrosymmetric dimeric units with a copper-copper separation of 4.0408 (3) Å. The Cu(II) ions in the dimer display a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry and are bridged by two triazole rings, forming an approximately planar Cu2N4 core (r.m.s. deviation = 0.049 Å). In the crystal, O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:A crystallographic twofold axis passing through the centre of the disulfide linkage in the title compound, C(16)H(12)N(6)S(2)·2H(2)O, results in one-half of the mol-ecule and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule described in the asymmetric unit. In the mol-ecule, the mean planes of the benzene and triazole rings are close to being coplanar and are separated by a dihedral angle of 2.08 (15)°. The triazole rings are twisted by a dihedral angle of 37.67 (6)° from the disulfide linkage. Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C4H5N4O2)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, represents the first transition metal complex of the novel chelating triazole ligand, 2-(5-amino-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)acetic acid (ATAA), to be structurally characterized. In the mol-ecule of the title complex, the nickel(II) cation is located on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two water mol-ecules in axial positions and two O and two N atoms from two trans-oriented chelating anions of the deprotonated ATAA ligand, forming a slightly distorted octa-hedron. The trans angles of the octa-hedron are all 180° due to the inversion symmetry of the mol-ecule. The cis-angles are in the range 87.25 (8)-92.75 (8)°. The six-membered chelate ring adopts a slightly twisted boat conformation with puckering parameters Q = 0.542 (2) Å, Θ = 88.5 (2) and ϕ = 15.4 (3)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the amino group and the chelating carboxyl-ate O atom of two trans-oriented ligands. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules and lattice water mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by an extensive network of N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The two independent Co(II) cations are linked by the 4-bpe ligands into two distinct layers, parallel to the ac and bc planes, that inter-penetrate. From this arrangement, channels are formed in which non-coordinated 4-bpe and lattice water mol-ecules are hydrogen-bonded into chains that elongate in the c-axis direction.

In the crystal, the U(VI) complex mol-ecule is linked to the water and aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecules through N-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a sheet structure parallel to the bc plane. The sheets are further linked by an additional O-H⋯O hydrogen bond, forming a three-dimensional network.
