Toxoplasma gondii is an apicomplexan parasite that causes fatal and debilitating brain and eye disease. Endochinlike quinolones (ELQs) are preclinical compounds that are efficacious against apicomplexan-caused diseases, including toxoplasmosis, malaria, and babesiosis.
