Increase in Urgent Care Center Visits for Sexually Transmitted Infections, United States, 2010-2014.


ABSTRACT: During 2010-2014, urgent care centers saw a ≈2-fold increase in the number of visits for chlamydia and gonorrhea testing and a >3-fold increase in visits by persons with diagnosed sexually transmitted infections. As urgent care becomes more popular, vigilance is required to ensure proper management of these diseases.
