Telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) is important for the biology of diffuse gliomas. <i>TERT</i> promoter mutations are selectively observed among 1p/19q-codeleted oligodendrogliomas and isocitrate dehydrogenase gene- <i>(IDH-)</i> wildtype glioblastoma (GBM).
