ABSTRACT: Essentials Plg-R_KT^-/- female mice give birth, but no offspring of Plg-R_KT^-/- female mice survive to weaning. Causal mechanisms of potential lactational failure in Plg-R_KT^-/- mice are unknown. Plg-R_KT regulates extracellular matrix remodeling, cell proliferation, apoptosis, fibrin surveillance. Plg-R_KT is essential for lactogenesis and mammary lobuloalveolar development.
