This paper reports a multifunctional zwitterionic poly(sulfobetaine-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PSBEDOT), which could be facilely synthesized by electropolymerization in aqueous solution. The PSBEDOT surface exhibits excellent conductivity, stability and switchable antifouling/antimicrobial properties. It shows great promise for applications in organic bioelectronics.
