Association of Single-Nucleotide Polymorphisms of CD44 Gene with Susceptibility to Breast Cancer in Chinese Women.

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND This study aimed to evaluate the association of CD44 gene single-nucleotide polymorphisms with susceptibility to breast cancer. MATERIAL AND METHODS This case-control study included 242 breast cancer patients and 252 normal people without disease. The single-nucleotide polymorphisms of the CD44 gene in the 2 groups were genotyped by PCR-LDR method. The OR and its 95% CI was calculated by chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. The construction of haplotypes and their interaction analysis with relevant factors were carried out by SHEsis and SNPStats online.
