Pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis (PPFE) is a rare interstitial lung disease characterized by the fibrotic thickening of subpleural and parenchymal areas of the upper lobes. It may be both idiopathic or secondary to infections, interstitial lung diseases and/or drug exposure.
