<i>Erythrobacter flavus</i> strain KJ5 (formerly called <i>Erythrobacter</i> sp. strain KJ5) is a yellowish marine bacterium that was isolated from a hard coral <i>Acropora nasuta</i> in the Karimunjawa Islands, Indonesia.
