ABSTRACT: Rickettsia parkeri is classified as a member of the alphaproteobacterial microorganisms, genus Rickettsia Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Rickettsia parkeri strain Atlantic Rainforest, which was isolated from an Amblyomma ovale tick collected in the municipality of Necoclí, Colombia.
