Pulmonary granuloma formation is a complex and poorly understood response to inhaled pathogens and particulate matter. To explore the mechanisms of pulmonary granuloma formation and maintenance, our laboratory has developed a multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-induced murine model of chronic granulomatous inflammation.
