ABSTRACT: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a mental disorder characterized by recurrent relapses of affective episodes, cognitive impairment, illness progression, and reduced life expectancy. Increased systemic oxidatively generated nucleoside damage have been found in some neurodegenerative disorders and in BD.
