Differences in human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine uptake by nativity status among men aged 18-34 years.

ABSTRACT: Annually, about 16,500 HPV-associated cancers occur in the US among men. Data regarding HPV vaccine uptake among men based on nativity status (i.e., US-versus foreign-born) is limited, yet potentially important for informing interventions. We assessed differences in HPV vaccine uptake by nativity status among men aged 18-34 years in the US. The 2014-2017 National Health Interview Survey was examined for men, aged 18-34 years (n = 14,056). HPV vaccine initiation was defined as receipt of at least one dose of the vaccine and completion as receipt of three doses.
