Stem Cells and Organ Transplantation: Resetting Our Biological Clocks

ABSTRACT: The human body has only a limited ability to repair itself. Illness, injury, and aging can overwhelm its built-in capability to replace dysfunctional, damaged, or destroyed tissues. We can at best only partly regenerate our organs and cannot grow back a whole limb.
