(1) Background: <i>Bacillus anthracis</i> is a spore-forming, Gram-positive bacterium causing anthrax, a zoonosis affecting mainly livestock. When occasionally infecting humans, <i>B. anthracis</i> provokes three different clinical forms: cutaneous, digestive and inhalational anthrax.
