Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a comorbidity associated with heart failure and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. Despite the Ca<sup>2+</sup>-dependent nature of both of these pathologies, AF often responds to Na<sup>+</sup> channel blockers.
