In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of <i>Drosophila busckii</i> (Diptera: Drosophilidae). The mitogenome was 15,214 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes. The gene organization of <i>D. busckii</i> is identical to the ancestral gene arrangement found in most insects. All protein-coding genes started with ATN, except for <i>cox2</i> and <i>nad5</i>, which used noncanonical codon TTG and GTG, respectively. ...[more]
