ABSTRACT: Background: The O⁶-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) is a highly effective enzyme capable of repairing DNA damage to maintain genomic stability. Until recently, reports on the expression and potential role of MGMT in breast cancer remain controversial.
