Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Molecular Imaging: A Systematic Review of Incidental Detection of SARS-CoV-2 Pneumonia on PET Studies.

ABSTRACT: There have been several reports of the incidental detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pneumonia on positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) studies, which represent the potential role of molecular imaging in the detection and management of coronavirus disease 2019. Here, we systematically review the value of PET/CT in this setting. We conducted a systematic search on June 23, 2020, for PET studies with findings suggestive of coronavirus disease 2019.
