Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) are clonal stem cell diseases characterized mainly by ineffective hematopoiesis. Here, we present an approach that enables robust long-term engraftment of primary MDS stem cells (MDS-SCs) in mice by implantation of human mesenchymal cell-seeded scaffolds.
