Hyaline fibromatosis syndrome (HFS), resulting from <i>ANTXR2</i> mutations, is an ultra-rare disease that causes intestinal lymphangiectasia and protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). The mechanisms leading to the gastrointestinal phenotype in these patients are not well defined.
