In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of <i>Unkanodes sapporonus</i> (Matsumura) (Hemiptera: Delphacidae). The mitogenome was 17,765 bp in length with A + T content of 75.87%, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and a control region. All protein-coding genes started with ATN, except for <i>nad5</i>, which used noncanonical codon GTG.
