The bovine hookworm <i>Bunostomum phlebotomum</i> (Nematoda: Bunostominae) is a blood-feeding nematode with important socioeconomic impact in the cattle breeding industry. In the present study, the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of a representative individual of <i>B. phlebotomum</i> from beef cattle in Southwest China was determined using the next generation sequencing technology.
