Here, we characterize the <i>fosA</i> genes from three <i>Escherichia coli</i> clinical isolates recovered from Canadian patients. Each <i>fosA</i> sequence was individually overexpressed in <i>E. coli</i> BW25113, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed to assess their role in fosfomycin resistance.
