Effectiveness and feasibility of home-based telerehabilitation for community-dwelling elderly people in Southeast Asian countries and regions: a systematic review.

ABSTRACT: This systematic review aimed to evaluate the impact of home-based telerehabilitation on physical function among community-dwelling elderly people in Southeast Asian countries and regions, and to investigate its feasibility. A systematic electronic literature search was conducted in PubMed/MEDLINE and PEDro according to PRISMA guidelines. Randomized controlled trials conducted in the area that involved elderly people and any physical function indexes were included. Home-based telerehabilitation was defined as a specific remote rehabilitation intervention that used any kind of technological device allowing healthcare professional/patient interaction.
