Previous studies have shown an independent association between increased red cell distribution width (RDW) and mortality after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, evidence regarding the predictive significance of repeated measures of RDW in patients with AMI remains scarce. We aimed to investigate the association between the dynamic profile of RDW and in-hospital mortality in patients with AMI.This was a cross-sectional study. We extracted clinical data from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IIIV1.4 database. Demographic data, vital signs, laboratory test data, and comorbidities were collected from the database. The clinical endpoint was in-hospital mortality.
