<i>Campylobacter coli</i> is a major foodborne pathogen worldwide that causes campylobacteriosis cases in humans and is an emerging threat in developing countries. The rapid dissemination of the macrolide resistance gene <i>erm</i>(B) poses a significant threat to the clinical therapy of campylobacteriosis.
