<i>Otoba</i> is the third largest genus of Myristicaceae in the Neotropics with 12 species, nine of them native to Colombia. Two new species from the department of Antioquia, <i>O. scottmorii</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> and <i>O. squamosa</i> <b>sp. nov.</b>, are described and illustrated. <i>Otoba scottmorii</i> occurs in humid, lowland forests, while <i>O. squamosa</i> occurs in premontane forest.
