The negative regulator of G-protein signalling 4 (Rgs4) is linked to several neurologic diseases, <i>e.g</i>. schizophrenia, addiction, seizure and pain perception. Consequently, Rgs4 expression is tightly regulated, resulting in high mRNA and protein turnover.
