Myocardial Vasculitis Associated With the Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Pembrolizumab.

ABSTRACT: Recent developments in immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have provided new treatment strategies for advanced cancer. However, ICIs lead to an imbalance between T cell-mediated inflammatory responses and immune tolerance in the myocardium. Here we report the first case that implicates the contribution of ICI-induced vasculitis to myocardial injury. (Level of Difficulty: Intermediate.).
