<i>Penicillium oxalicum</i> k10 isolated from soil revealed the hydrolyzing ability of shrimp chitin and antifungal activity against <i>Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.</i> The k10 chitinase was produced from a powder chitin-containing medium and purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation and column chromatography.
