A magnetic nanocomposite, consisting of Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanoparticles embedded into a Mg/Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) matrix, was developed for cancer multimodal therapy, based on the combination of local magnetic hyperthermia and thermally induced drug delivery.
