Draft Genome Sequences of Two Bacteria from the Roseobacter Group.

ABSTRACT: Here, we report the draft genome sequences of strains HS012 and HS039, which were isolated from cnidarian polyps that had recently undergone metamorphosis. Genomic analyses place these strains within the Phaeobacter and Leisingera genera, members of the Roseobacter group.

Project description:Here, we report the draft genome sequences of four aerobic gaseous alkane-oxidizing bacteria isolated from soil by enrichment culture using isobutane (2-methylpropane) as the sole carbon and energy source. The sequences all reveal microorganisms with multiple alkane-oxidizing monooxygenases, including soluble di-iron monooxygenases (SDIMOs), copper-containing monooxygenases (CuMMOs), and alkane hydroxylases (AHs).

Draft Genome Sequences of Two Xanthomonas fragariae Strains.

Short-read sequences were generated for two X. fragariae strains with different virulence phenotypes on the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform. These genome sequences will contribute to a better understanding of pathogen evolution and the genes contributing to virulence in X. fragariae.

Draft Genome Sequences of Three Rhizospheric Plant Growth-Promoting Bacteria.

Project description:Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Bacillus subtilis A1, Sphingobacterium sp. strain A3, and Pseudomonas sp. strain A29; Sphingobacterium sp. A3 and Pseudomonas sp. A29 were identified as Bacillus velezensis strain A3 and Bacillus subtilis strain A29, respectively, after a quality control check of the whole-genome sequences deposited in the NCBI database. These bacteria exhibit tremendous production of siderophores and significant antimicrobial potential. When inoculated on maize, these isolates increase its yield.
