ABSTRACT: Objectives
This systematic review seeks to collate and synthesize putative risk and protective factors for the different outcomes of radicalization.Methodology
Drawing on an established theoretical framework, we will categorize putative risk and protective factors as they relate to the domains of radical attitudes, intentions, and behaviors. We will utilize meta-analytic techniques to develop a rank-order of factors according to effect size. Meta-regression and sub-group analyses will be used to assess sources of heterogeneity.Implications
The results of the review are intended to inform evidence-based policy in the areas of both assessment and intervention.
