The moth Ephestia elutella (Hübner), is a storage pest that feeds on tobacco, cacao beans, cereals, dried fruits, and nuts. We generated a chromosome-level genome assembly containing 576.94 Mb using Nanopore long reads (approximately 130×) and Hi-C data (approximately 134×). The final assembly contained 804 scaffolds, with an N50 length of 19.00 Mb, and 94.96% (547.89 Mb) of the assembly was anchored into 31 pseudochromosomes. We masked 58.12% (335.32 Mb) of the genome as repetitive elements, id ...[more]
