Osteosarcopenic obesity (OSO) is characterized by bone density, mass, and muscle strength loss, in conjunction with adipose tissue increase. OSO impairs physical activity and mobility, provoking autonomy loss; also, it is known that augmenting body fat in the elderly decreases life expectancy.
