<i>Chlamydia</i> (<i>C.</i>) <i>felis</i> primarily replicates in feline conjunctival epithelial cells and is an important cause of conjunctivitis in cats. Data on <i>C. felis</i> infection rates in stray cats in Switzerland has been missing so far.
