This study assessed the effects of the monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor deprenyl in <i>Daphnia magna</i> locomotor activity. The mechanisms of action of deprenyl were also determined by studying the relationship between behaviour, MAO activity and neurotransmitter levels.
