We report a novel synthetic procedure for the high-yield synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with <b>fcu</b> topology with a UiO-66-like structure starting from a range of commercial Zr<sup>IV</sup> precursors and various substituted dicarboxylic linkers.
