Fifteen selenocompounds, comprising of eight ketone-containing selenoesters (<b>K1</b>-<b>K8</b>, also known as oxoselenoesters) and seven cyano-containing selenoesters (<b>N1</b>-<b>N7</b>, known also as cyanoselenoesters), have been designed, synthesized, and evaluated as novel anticancer agents.
