The predatory stink bug Eocanthecona furcellata belongs to the subfamily Asopinae of Pentatomidae. In the current study, the complete mitochondrial genome of E. furcellata is determined. This mitogenome is 16,085 bp in size and comprises of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region. Gene order is identical to that of the putative ancestral arrangement of insects. Nucleotide composition is biased toward A and T, which together made ...[more]
