ABSTRACT: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy diagnosed in women. Traditionally, radical surgical resection was the cornerstone of breast cancer management, with limited exceptions. In recent times, our enhanced appreciation of the biomolecular characteristics of breast cancer has transformed the treatment paradigm to include prescription of chemotherapeutical agents, radiotherapies, targeted therapies, as well as more refined surgical approaches.
