<i>Agapanthus praecox</i> is a monocotyledonous, herbaceous, and perennial plant, which has been used as an ornamental and medicinal plant. Here, we assembled and characterized the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of <i>A. praecox</i> by <i>de novo</i> high throughput sequencing.
