Mapping the national evidence on double burden of malnutrition in Ethiopia: a protocol of scoping review.

ABSTRACT:

Introduction

Currently, the double burden of malnutrition (DBM) is an emerging public health problem due to the inevitable consequences of nutritional transition. An increasing number of studies have reported the DBM in Ethiopian populations. However, organised and summarised national evidence is not yet available. Therefore, the main aim and research question of this scoping review is to map the national evidence on the DBM in the last decades in Ethiopia.

Methods

This scoping review will be mapping the national evidence on the DBM in different population groups of Ethiopia including all ages and both sexes from 1 January 2021 to 30 September 2021.
